Heddiw, bu plant Bl.5 ynghyd a disgyblion eraill yr ysgol yn dysgu am y gwahanol ffyrdd o aros yn ddiogel ar y we. Gwnaeth y dosbarth gasgliad o bosteri a chyflwyniadau Keynote ar yr ipads i gynhori eraill sut i wneud yr un fath.

Today, the Yr.5 children along with the pupils from the rest of the school, learned about the ways in which to stay safe online. The class created a collection of posters and Keynote presentations on the ipads with the aim to advise others of the potential dangers.

Mae plant y dosbarth wedi bod yn creu portreadau trawiadol dros ben o frenhinoedd a brenhinesau cyfnod y Tuduriaid. Defnyddiwyd pastiliau lliw i orffen y gwaith. Pensiliau ddefnyddiwyd gyntaf ar ol astudio sut i greu sgets bras o'r pen/wyneb.

The children have been creating beautiful portraits of the Tudor kings and queens. They used coloured pastiles to complete the work. They sketched the head/face roughly using pencils to begin with.

Arddangosfa wal Peiriant Sgrech yn dod ymlaen yn dda - edrych yn lliwgar ac yn llawn o waith y disgyblion. Mae'r tasgau hyn yn cynnwys barddoniaeth, arbrofion, mapiau meddwl a gwaith cyfeirnodau /allweddi map.

The Scream Machine wall display coming along well - it looks colourful and includes plenty of pupil work. These tasks include poetry, experiments, mind maps and grid referencing.

Bu'r plant yn astudio'r nofel Barti Ddu yn ystod y tymor. Yng nghanol dathliadau camlwyddiant T. Llew Jones, gwnaeth y plant astudio'r gerdd 'Lliwiau' a chwblhau helfa drysor. Ar ol creu cwpledi eu hunain, aeth y plant ati i greu darn o gelf yn cynnwys eu barddoniaeth.

The children have been studying the novel Barti Ddu. The centenery celebrations of T. Llew Jones have seen the children looking at more of his work, including his poems. The pupils completed these artworks based on their own couplets.

Ein thema yr hanner tymor yma ydy 'Y Peiriant Sgrech'. Mae'r prosiect hwn yn canolbwyntio ar wyddoniaeth ac fe fyddwn yn dysgu am ystod o rymoedd gan gynnwys disgyrchiant. Gobeithiwn ymweld a pharc thema i gael hwyl yn archwilio a thynnu lluniau mecanweithiau y gellir eu gweld. Fe fyddwn yn trafod sut mae gwahanol reidiau'n gweithio a pha fath o fecanweithiau a ddefnyddir. Wrth wraidd y prosiect hwn byddwn yn ysgrifennu barddoniaeth ar y thema o geir sglefrio ac yn datblygu sgiliau ychwanegol wrth ysgrifennu esboniadau a recordio archwiliadau gwyddonol. Fe fyddwn yn darllen y nofel 'Barti Ddu' gan T. Llew Jones fel sbardun ychwanegol i dasgiau iaith.

Our theme this half term is 'The Scream Machine'. This project has a science focus and teaches about a range of forces including gravity. We will be visiting a theme park and the local park for fun and to investigate and photograph mechanisms that can be seen. We will discuss how different rides work and what mechanisms are used. At the heart of the project we will be writing shape poems on the theme roller coasters and develop additional skills in writing explanations and recording scientific investigations.We will also be reading the novel 'Barti Ddu' by T. Llew Jones.
